Alexander Anufriev

Alexander Anufriev was born in Moscow, but spent his childhood in Odessa, Ukraine. He studied at the Odessa's Grekov's College of Fine Arts. In the 60s and 70s he was deeply involved in the art of the Soviet underground. His work has always been sought after by collectors from all over the Soviet Union. When Anufriev emigrated to the United States he began exhibiting his work in Boston and New York. Currently, he is represented by Alla Rogers gallery in Washington DC.
