Dimitri Belyaev
born in
1924
studied at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St.
Petersburg, Russia (1945-51). Belyaev's work is in many
Russian museums and in private collections in the USA,
Italy, Japan, Netherlands, and Great Britain. In 1994 he
was elected a member of the Petrovsky (named after Peter
the Great) Academy of Arts and Sciences. Major
publications include "Three Centuries of Russian
Painting" and "Small House with Blue
Shutters", (retrospective catalogue), published by
Russian Classics in 2002.
