Alexander Charin
(born in 1957)
In 1976- 82 Alexander Charin studied at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia specializing in monumental and frescoe painting. Was selected among very few best students to complete a post-graduate program at the Academy's studio of Professor Mylnikov. Charin's work has been exhibited in Russia, USA, Hungary, Finland, and Germany. Charin painted a number of murals for major Russian museums and for a 5-star Nevsky Palace Hotel in St. Petersburg. In 2001-2002, he painted a several murals for the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the newly rebuilt cathedral that was destroyed by the communists during Stalin.
