This class is 6 weeks long, July 8 - August 16 Over the years, Bridgeview students have been accepted into the best BFA and MFA programs in the country including California Art Institute, FIT, Parsons, RISDI, SVA, Pratt, Boston Art Institute, New York Academy of Art, Repin Academy of Art in Russia. Most received general and some received full scholarships. Drawing on this experience, we have come up with an even better program to help you get into the school of your choice. As it was stated in New York Times article "Portfolio Prep" where Bridgeview program was mentioned as one of the best around the country "An acceptable portfolio generally contains 15 to 20 drawings, paintings, collages, small three-dimensional works ...What I need to see are observational drawings from life, Ms. Morgan, admissions counselor at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia says - a range of drawings and other media that show me the depth and range of a students talents. During this 6 weeks course which should needs to be continued by a student through more than one semester, students will spend half of their time drawing the human figure and portrait, another half sculpting the human figure in clay (small-scale plastiline figurines). Each class will include a short art history lecture as it relates to the specific assignments.
