Harout Simonian

Harout Simonian graduated with MFA in sculpture from the National Academy of Art in Armenia, former Soviet state. He has been teaching art since 1996 in a variety of disciplines including Sculpture, Drawing and Performance Art in Armenia, Switzerland and the United States.

Having recieved first rate classical education, he represents a unique combination of skills. While being classically trained with superb knowledge of the human figure, he is also actively involved in contemporary art. Currently Harout Simonian is a guest artist at the Cooper Union University. His work has been exhibited in major galleries and museums including the New Museum in New York. His video installation was presented by the Momenta Art Gallery.
