Sasha Budaev

Sasha Budaev was born in 1988 in Minsk, Belarus. He began to engage in visual arts from early childhood, which is typical of the post-Soviet system of early education.

BFA from Minsk State Art School, Belarus

MFA from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in St. Petersburg, Russia. Repin Academy is one of the oldest and most prestigious art academies in the world which still teaches classical techniques to students mostly from Russia, China and Europe. 

Upon graduation he joined Minsk State Art College in Belarus as a professor of drawing, painting and design for undergraduate students.

Sasha exhibited at numerous galleries in Russia and Europe. His solo show "On the Unattainable Presence" took place in 2016 in St. Petersburg.

In 2018 he emigrated with his family to the US and settled in Philadelphia. He is currently teaching at Bridgeview and also at the Princeton Academy of Art in Princeton NJ.
