Drawing, Painting, Composition. Classical Approach.
Students work both from observation and imagination learning classical concepts and techniques of painting and drawing. Materials may include pencil, markers, pastels, acrylic paints and pen and ink. This is the age when they are starting to transition from flat depiction of objects to more dimensional work. Perspective, tone, design elements, color harmony and volume will be explored. Students draw and paint still life setups and also copy from the Old Masters.Tuition: $500 for 12 weeks of classes NOT including all professional-grade materials. Children ages 7 - 9 are required to use the school's materials for a fee of $20. All other ages may bring their own according to the list we provide. Please note that if you are not paying for our materials, you have make sure your child brings them to class each time and does not run out of them, since the school will not be able to provide them.
