Age (9 - 11)

Drawing, Painting, Composition. Classical Approach.

Students work both from observation and imagination learning classical concepts and techniques of painting and drawing. Materials may include pencil, markers, pastels, acrylic paints and pen and ink. This is the age when they are starting to transition from flat depiction of objects to more dimensional work. Perspective, tone, design elements, color harmony and volume will be explored.
