About Us

Founded by a group of classically-trained artists back in 2001, Bridgeview mission was to pass on the knowledge to new generations and offer a systematic step by step methodology not widely used in America. This classical methodology has been adapted to the needs of American students and our teaching is often individually tailored to the student's specific needs. It is not unusual that in a class of 10 students they are broken into groups working on different assignments, some work from a still life, some from a live model and some might work on a perspective drawing of an interior. In general, the progression is from still life to portrait (human head) to figure, from simple to more complicated.
