Beginner or Intermediate Drawing

Working from simple still life setups students will learn the fundamentals of drawing. Step-by-by-step instruction in building the form through line and value will be given. Individual critiques covering the basics of drawing such as proportions, value, construction and perspective will be offered. No experience necessary.

  • Pencils – B, 2B, HB,

  • Box of Vine Charcoal (optional)

  • Charcoal Pencils- HB, 2B - optional (optional)

  • X-ACTO Knife for sharpening pencils

  • Sand paper Block for sharpening pencils

  • Erasers (a hard one and a kneaded one)

  • 18” by 24” Drawing Pad- heavier weight (90 pounds or higher), white color, suitable for pencil and charcoal, any brand.

  • roll of masking tape to attach your paper to drawing board 

  • Special note about paper: No newsprint paper!
