Advanced or Intermediate Painting. Instructor Arslan.

By working from life, students will master both technical and conceptual aspects of painting. Color theory and color mixing will be discussed. The goal is to teach students to create a realistic image through mastering color and tonal relationships.This is not a beginner class, experience in drawing and painting is required.

Palette cups (attachable to the palette) or a glass jar for turpentine

Roll of paper towels or old rags for cleaning brushes.

Drawing pad, medium size, pencil, eraser

We recommend Georgian oil colors in 75 ml tubes. These paints are very inexpensive and yet are of good quality sufficient for students. They are sold by most major art stores. You can order them online from Dick Blick or buy in store.
